Ted Hong, Beyondbond's President, was invited to give a speech at The 26th World Chinese Traders Convention. The event was held with great success at the Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel in New York on September 12-15, 2008. Other than Beyondbond's President Dr. Ted Hong and the other distinguished speakers from Taiwan, 15 outstanding scholars and scientists, mostly members of the "Emerging Information and Technology Conference (EITC)", spoke on the emerging business opportunities in IT, energy, biotech, and finance to about 300 overseas Chinese traders from 28 countries at the 4 panel sessions of the event.

"Green Technology" for the enterprises of the future was the main focus at the panel discussion on IT industry. Dr. Jen-Yao Chung, Senior Manager of the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center introduced to the audience a tool to analyze and to evaluate the green technology called the "Green Data Center (GDC)". Green technology like GDC makes energy supply more efficient and creates new business opportunities. Chung said, "Green technology in the reduction of Chlorofluorocarbons(CFC), CO2, and carbon, as well as the disposal of wastewater will surely bring us tremendous new areas for business."
