The number of bonds (i.e., 10 bonds = $10,000.00 face value)    

  

Quantity in $ face value  

The value of a bond paid back at maturity. Most bonds have a face value of $1,000; therefore $10,000.00 = 10 bonds.    

  

Quote wanted (QW)

Notice by a potential buyer of a security that he or she is looking for an offer by a potential seller of the security. The abbreviation QW is frequently seen in the pink sheets (listing of stocks) and yellow sheets (listings of corporate bonds) published by the National Quotation Bureau for securities traded by over the counter dealers.
